The Story Behind ASS HUNTER
I'm Alex Baez, aka Papi Beatz. I'm a 3X RIAA Gold-certified producer, engineer, and internationally touring performer. Music was always my passion, and I reached so many of my goals and dreams, but I've always been just as passionate about cooking, especially for others.
If I had a dollar for every time someone told me I should start a restaurant, I'd probably have enough money to have started a chain of restaurants. Instead, I let the idea fall from the sky just how I let my musical ideas come to me, and I ended up creating ASS HUNTER.
I spent about 4 years getting the blend right. At first, it was extremely hot, almost unpleasant even for me, so I kept experimenting. After a while, I decided to stop chasing exotic peppers and chose chili peppers that were more familiar to me, until I finally found the right combination and the right amount.
You’re probably wondering where the lime powder came from. The inspiration was a family tradition of squeezing lime on Chicago thin-crust pizza. It sounds crazy, but it’s absolutely delicious, and I urge you to try it. We only add a little dehydrated lime powder to ASS HUNTER, though. It’s just enough to brighten the chili peppers, and you almost don’t notice it. I knew something was special the first time I ran out of ASS HUNTER, and I honestly felt devastated. So did my friends. Why is it called ASS HUNTER?
Our first batch hit so hard that the reaction was, “Wow, that really hunted my ass.” The name stuck.
Where do we deliver?
We offer personal delivery in our Chicago delivery area for $5 per order. Choose any available one-hour window during the next seven days, starting tomorrow: weekdays 5 PM to 9 PM or weekends 10 AM to 9 PM, Chicago time. Each window has room for five orders. Check your address and provide a phone number for delivery updates before paying online. Shipping is not open yet.
How do the Heat Hunt discounts work?
Choose “Use my discount” on the results screen to bring your earned code to the shop. Losing a later level does not erase an earned reward.
Only the highest earned discount applies to your jars. Shipping stays separate. Codes do not stack and can be used once. Start checkout by 11:30 p.m. Central on December 31, 2026. Codes expire January 1, 2027.
